Fern Exposition and Event Services has delivered innovative events for the American Counseling Association (ACA) since 2011, and in 2017 this trusted partnership proved to be stronger than ever.
Just nine months before the ACA’s 2017 Annual Conference and Expo, Robin Hayes, Senior Director of Conference Planning and Professional Education, was faced with a difficult decision. The venue in Nashville that she had booked four years earlier had become unavailable due to the introduction of new legislation in Tennessee, and she was left scrambling for a new location.
With an annual convention featuring more than 400 education sessions over five days, 125 exhibitor booths, 25 breakouts and 80,000 square feet of expo space, Hayes had to make a big decision fast. With just nine months to go before the start of convention, Hayes selected San Francisco as the new host city for ACA’s Annual Conference and Expo, and put her trust in Fern to help her make the transition.
“Relocating was a big deal, but we didn’t miss a beat,” Hayes said of her partnership with Fern’s B. Murphy and Nick Stammler. “We see Fern as a real extension of our team. I appreciate how attentive and responsive they are to our needs, and they’re really interested in what we’re trying to do. I’d say it’s a really great partnership.”
According to Hayes, Fern’s ability to deliver fresh, innovative ideas for the redesign of their hall, while offering solutions to ease budget stresses and enhance ACA’s overall convention experience, cemented the company’s relationship with the Fern team.
